Public Library quilt books. I can have as many as I want, take the best from each and return them without charge. They don't clutter or take up space I don't really have. If I find a really awesome pattern, I make a copy of the directions and put it in my 3-ring notebook for future projects.

I love making watercolor quilts so my two favorite books that I never put away are Watercolor Quilts by Pat Maixner Magaret and Donna Ingram Slusser and Watercolor Impressions : Quilts Inspired by the Bestseller Watercolor Quilts by Pat Maxiner Magaret and Donna Ingram Slusser

I'm with you, I love her books and technique, like you said it does waste fabric...but that's where leaders and enders quilts come in!! LOL

My library just doesn't have that many to choose from, wish they did.

I just saw those two watercolor books on Craigslist. Maybe I'll get them.

That's one I did buy. Looks like a great resource.

If you're curious about a book, check out Connecting Threads. If they carry it, they show pictures of some of the quilts inside. This is where I buy my books. The info is great and so are the prices.

I just wondered, what do you think some of the best quilting books are? What are your personal favorites and if you have time, why do you like them?
Thanks!
I have way too many quilting books to mention one specific, however there are so many web resources and u tube posts now that I won't invest in any more books. A good place to look online is quilters cache. I also love the tutes from Missouri Star Quilts. (you can find these on their web site or u tube.) :-D
