oooh...hard question! I can't really pick a favorite, either...If I could, then Amazon would not be getting so much of my money every time I think I need a new book! :P I must say I do find myself referring to All About Quilting from A to Z, as the name implies it has some great tips about a little bit of everything. Since I am fairly new to fmq, the other book I really love is Show Me How to Machine Quilt...I have several books on the subject, but this one just really "clicks" with me!

"5,500 Quilt Block Designs", by Maggie Malone. When I need an idea it is a great starting place. (You do have to figure out the math yourself.)

It would be hard to pick a favorite. It's like asking which is your favorite chocolate. Love them all.

One I would love is something from Bonnie Hunter.

I have lots of favorites but I would recomend Eleanor Burns(Quilt in a Day) or Atkinson Designs (Terry Atkinson). Both authors are very concise and easy to follow. I always have great results with their patterns!
