Depends on my mood. Mostly have TV on in the background, but this time of year I play Christmas music. If not, then could be country, Sinatra, classical, worship, classic rock, show tunes...just depends. I like a wide variety.

Classical. No words. I love Sixties music, but then I end up swaying and singing along, and this is counter productive when you are trying to pin something.

I love to sing along with Josh Grobin. Course, many of his songs are not in English and I have no clue what the words are, but I can fake it. This only works because I now live alone and the 2 cats hide under the bed when I sing.

instrumental music of songs with no words. Tabun, an Indian artist, is one of my favorites. Piano music and sax are my favorite instruments, and drums.

My favorite music to listen to as I quilt is country. It has to be the old country though. This time of year, I like to turn on the Christmas music, especially when working on Christmas gifts.

I also like to listen to books on tape. Although I prefer reading. I have read and listened to the entire series of Elm Creek quilters. I will usually listen to biographies, or history.

I'm with you - Colby Callait. My favorite thing lately is to go to my computer on Pandora.com and type in an artist or a song I like, and the site prepares a radio station with similar songs just for you.

I do both, sometimes its tv sometimes its radio. when it is radio it is oldies, rock, country, easy listening. I enjoy a variety from Jethro Tull to Michael Buble to my nature sounds cd's to Alan Jackson, When it is tv i try not to watch something that would usually interest me so as not to distract me but i just need room noise

I listen to books on tape or podasts. Thanks to Up North for the wonderful music link.

Listening to Woodstock music now, specifically Joan Baez. Love it!!!
