I thought I liked most everything until now. One of last years (which I'm just starting) row by row has english paper pieced flowers. I am definitely not liking it.

My newest favorite is freezer-paper piecing.

It seems I am always drawn to applique. I usually do raw edge with a blanket stitch, but love it combined with elaborate piecing and embroidery too.

Like Nana above I am drawn to applique. My favorite is back-basting applique using needleturn. I find this method to be very accurate in piece placement and it is so easy.

Sorry, folks. I have no interest in paperpiecing at this time.

I do some machine piecing, but I am mostly drawn to needle turn hand applique. Is totally portable and can use sooo many smaller pieces of different fabrics. Relaxing for me. I haven't tried the back basting method yet. I guess I need to at least give it a go.

In doing blocks here and there of the Splendid Sampler by Pat Sloan, I have found myself doing things I haven't done in 30 years.... Like embroidery and needle turn appliqué. I am really enjoying the variety of techniques.

Needle turn applique is what I really like. I was never able to get the knack of paper piecing.

My favorite is floral applique. I have enough patterns waiting to last another generation, but too bad I won't live to see them all made into quilts,

I love applique and Pat Campbell was my teacher. Also have studied with Dixie McBride as well as one other whose name escaped me.

I love everything related to quilting, but because of an on going health issues that have me kind of bed ridden I have taken up English paper piecing and making Hexies, I have pretty much have my Grandmothers flower garden quilt done . and I have started making smaller hexies to make the , My Insanity quilt. it has about 12,000 hexies int it. Yes you read it right twelve thousand Hexies. I have about one thousand of that size done. I make about one hundred in a day. Never get tired of them and find them soothing to make. I have boxes of different colour Hexies . I am not sure when I will start assembling them as I change the pattern up and have to draw out paper exactly what I want My Insanity quilt to look like.
