My goodness but we here on the Board have loved this subject. Thank you for starting it. I am All Thumbs because my thumbs are generally cracked from quilting all the time. I have used every product imaginable but to no avail. So when I joined the Board, it asked for user name and I stumbled around many words. Finally asked DH and without hesitation he declared All Thumbs....and so it goes.

What an interesting story!! Sweet memories! Well, here's how I came up with mine. My friends and I started a quiltig club several years ago. We called ourselves the piecemakers. Somehow, I became the President of sorts. Probably because we always met at my house. I did a good portion of the lunch cooking. And, if anyone, even the older ones needed help, then they called on me. So I became the #1 piecemaker!

Mine is my first and middle name, since my imagination was not in gear at the time I joined. I also use my name, as I can remember it.... (first/last name already in use)Thanks Krystyna for posting this thread. I have spent all day off and on reading it. Thanks also to all who participated. Fun names, silly names, clever names, real names. I love you all! This is a great board. :)

At least with Christmas Carol, I could have been called Chris. I've always hated my name which is why my four daughters have very common names.
Nolee, is beautiful as I am sure you are. My middle name is really bad. I can't believe I am doing this.....I was named after a family member, who had a bad case of Likes to Drink too much.......and I was told that I was just like her growing up, not by my Mother, but lots of others.......LaMerle. Now that I told you, Please forget it. I never tell any one. Seriously a really good friend is seriously ticked at me because I told Her just call me "loophole" and I even asked my Mother not to tell her. I would change it to Mary LeeEllen Nash if I could. Lee was my Grandfather's name and Ellen was Mother's favorite Aunt. I would love to change it.
Gigi10, you can change it if you really want to, either by going to court and doing so (which costs a bit) or by just choosing to use that name. It's legal to do that as long as it's not done "with intent to defraud." You middle initial would still be L, and since you tell no one but US your birth name, who's even to know it wasn't always LeeEllen?

Krystyna, what a fun question and what a wonderful mother you had to have recognized and acknowledged the artistic side of your messes!

My name is Bambi (really--on my birth cert) and when I had my first DGD three years ago, "Grambi" was the name I chose to be called by my grandchildren.

My daughters loved the stars so years ago when we finally became part of the "internet" my youngest daughter thought Casoppia the constellation was the coolest name for her mom who thought the sun rose and set in her girls .. So I became the constellation !LOL then I sew so she said to shorten it to Cassews!LOL
My Legal name I was named after 2 great aunts who were spinsters as the family tradition was to name the kids after the elders. So Aunt Diana & Aunt June became part of my heritage !LOL

Mine is very easy! I am a Navy Wife. DH spent 23 years in the Navy and I followed him from base to base and raised our family and made a home for us wherever we were. I'm also a proud Navy Mom. DS will retire next year after 26 years.
