I'm half Danish (as in a person from Denmark--not the food, although I certainly eat enough of them!) I'm also the type of person who "seeks knowledge" as my Aunt B. says, which I think means I'm able to do anything. When I first learned how to read on my own as a child, she sat me down and said, "Do you know what this means Tammy? You can now learn anything you want--anything at all--because you can learn about anything in the world through books."
So I took the Danish word for apple which looks quite similar to able in English.

The name of my store (quilt shop) is Expressions by Ewe. Started out with knitting and cross stitch supplies and morphed into the quilt store. Ewe being a female sheep--play on words-expressions by you. So Ewecansew--still a play on words. Not overly original, but one of a kind!!!

I have loved reading all of these! Thank you so much Krystyna for starting this. I love your name, I used Krys as an alternate spelling for my own name (Christina) when I was in elementary school. You had a lovely mother and will always have such a beautiful memory of her.
I use the ID Laalaa (from the teletubbies) a lot online so Laalaaquilter was a natural for me. I was channel surfing one lazy Sunday morning and landed on PBS for a second and there she was. Big, yellow, and dancing around in a pink tutu singing 'la la la la'. I laughed so loud DH had to set aside his computer surfing to come see about the commotion. Have been a Laalaa nut ever since.
Thank you to everyone who has posted and has commented on other postings. This is truly a great community of people and I'm honored to be included.
alwayslearning - I've been checking the chitchat section of the digest every day hoping to see a post from Ditter. I believe we all miss her when she is away.
