I once made covers for the visor in the car. easier than I thought. My then hubby was impressed, plus I made him a neck cover when riding his bike so he could also cover his mouth.

When my dad was alive I made him a customized fishing vest. I also made him a console cover for his boat. I've made handyman toolbelts but I don't know if they're that unusual.

Can anyone top a replacement canopy for a Ford tractor, or the interior upholstered door panels of a '61 Ford Galaxy? These were new challenges to my skills.

I made a fake belly for "Mary" for the Christmas play at church. Didn't know what I was doing but it worked.

Also made a VBS mascot one year. Everyone loves a 6'3", 225 Lb penguin, right!?!
Of course! But what is VBS? Very cute costume!
Awesome!

VBS is Vacation Bible School. We have it every summer at church. I only made two mascots. The penguin and Cooper the dog. Then I put a stop to it. That is sheets of foam in the head and feet of the animals and very hard to sew. Also afraid of messing up the machine. They have reused the dog and my son used the penguin for a Christmas party. That was funny.

The funniest thing I have made is a fur lined jock strap for SIL whose "jewels" were cold when he went skiing. It was made as a joke but he loved it.

I made a winter sleeping beauty dress for my daughter after seeing it online. It was pink and white with snowflakes.

I don't know which would be unusual:
1. quilt from rags
2. baby sleeping bags from old cotton sweat shirts
3. ninja costume for son
4. fishing reel covers with the brand name embroidered
5. soft gun cases for storage
6. vinyl hood liner with red 'bow tie' applique to dress up a truck for a car show
7. fringed buckskin shirt from a deer bagged by the grown-up ninja
8. quilt from wedding tablecloths and napkins, WIP
9. a shower costume for Halloween for my mother

Hey, I made giant Burt & Earnie heads from carpet foam. Hot glue worked fabulously and the heads were used for several years. I wouldn't be able to sew that foam.
