What's on your bed?
#82
I have a white King-sized comforter from "Winners" on my bed and I change the tops with the seasons/holidays. I am still contemplating my winter quilt...
For anyone who is wondering... a 60" square quilt set on point will drape quite nicely over the edge of the bed.
And while I love my dogs... they and my husband and I sleep much better with them in their baskets in the hall!!
Some of you have seen these before...

it took me literally years to finally break down and make a quilt for our bed; now we have 2! after giving away over 100 quilts someone asked one day, so what is your quilt like? hubby jumped right in...IT'S LIKE A QUILT SHE BOUGHT AT POTTERY BARN! WE DO NOT COUNT!
so, i took the hint, and made us a pretty great mariners compass quilt. then about a year later i loaded up some white fabric...white flannel back, white on white top and just quilted...just to quilt...used wool batting...turns out that is the one on the bed now, it is soft/fluffy, warm & cozy.

I have one of those cheapy quilts, because I have 2 cats and 2 dogs and do not intend to have them shreaded,as I do like the pets to cuddle with! As long as I have pets, I'm not going to make a handmade quilt for my own bed.

We have one of the first quilts I made, a drunkards path, my Quilt of Shame, I used too many colors... Our 6 dogs sleep with us and the quilt has been barfed on, dirty dog feet wiped and well loved. I really don't care if it gets beaten up, and it will probably last forever....I have another, a Ricky Tims Harmonic Convergence (MY pic here) in the works for our bed, but that one will not be a dog blanket!

I bought a very expensive bed spread set at a garage sale probably 15 years ago. It is so easy to make the bed. I have had lots of people comment on why I don't have one I made on my bed. It's a king size with separate adjustable fixture. I also have a dog that sleeps on the bed. So far the largest quilt I've made was a queen size for my daughter and son-in-law. I don't think I could tackle a bigger one. I do have several quilts on the wall in my bedroom.
