Default A Virtual Quilt Show !

I have been asked to do a 'virtual quilt show', that is to display my quilts on or in different locations in and around the area where I live, take a photo of them and then present them as a virtual quilt show online. I have 3 months in which to display and take the photos before they need to be put into a quilt show format online but already my mind is bursting with ideas of where to go and how to display the quilts for that perfect photo.

So it got me thinking what a great idea it would be for other quilters from all around the world to do the same - take a photo or photos of one or more of your quilts displayed prominently in your local area (on a tourist attraction, beach, bridge, etc etc) and post onto this thread.

It would be an enjoyable way to see the local attractions of quilters' hometowns and as always a great chance for you to show your magnificent quilts.

That would be a fun display. I already have the wheels turning in my head. Great idea.

Wow Lynnie, what an honour. What Aussie landmarks are you thinking of including?

    What an opportunity for you!
Boy did my mind jump full of local-to-my-area ideas when you suggested this! My little town is historic, picturesque, and has several touristy attractions I could use; I had never thought of the idea before!!

    Thank you!

Woody, going to Melbourne next weekend so will take a few quilts with me in case a photo opportunity arises. Maybe one at a footy match at the MCG or Ethihad...

If I can get to Hobart in the next few weeks, a quilt atop Mt Wellington amongst the snow. You could include one in front of Parliament House, some good locations around Canberra.

My mind starting jumping around before I had finished reading. No roller coaster will be taken.

Sounds like fun, the MCG would be great, a tram in the background, the Queen Victoria Markets, oooh so much to do

What a great fun idea. I could take one in front of Talbingo mountain with the Tumut 3 power station in the background.
