I starch my fabric stiff before I cut anything out, then all I need to do is press.

I seldom need anything but a dry iron during block or quilt construction and when I do, it's just a quick shot of steam. I never, ever, starch fabric and use water only if necessary when pressing yardage before cutting.

I use a dry iron since the day 20 years ago when it (the iron) wet tan water all over my last block in a 30 block quilt with a white background. Arrgh! It still raises my blood pressure when I think of it. ;(

Would not even think about "no starch" My favorite of all is "Niagara, Non Aerosol"Biodegradable, does not flake. Plastic container. Pump spray with a wide spreading nozzle. Dry iron only

Me too - just started using the vodka recipe replacement for Best Press and I am really impressed - love it and now love pressing with it!
