I will also be starting some quilted ornaments for family and friends and I will begin when all the Christmas stuff is snuggly put away about Jan.2.

I've decided not to do any other quilt, gift guilt till I get all (about 6) Christmas Quilts done. Every year I wish I had them to display and use at Christmas. I thought the only way to get them done was to do them now. Taking Christmas decor down tomorrow and then I'm going to start. I have a beautiful row quilt that friends and I exchanged fabric to do, well friends quilts are done, not mine, plus several others. Hope to post pictures soon. Wish me luck!

Was reading this thread with interest as i have a similar problem when deciding what to quilt for gifts and then getting them done in time. this year I am going to start in January and shall dedicate at least 2 days a month to working on Christmas gifts that way I might just get a couple of items or more finished in time for next Christmas.

Maybe1day
Well I can dream can't I?

I have already started, found some cute patterns that some on the QB shared and am off to a good start. I should add that I finished this years Christmas gifts on Christmas morning the hour we left for our son's and the gift exchange. LOL

I'm working on quilts now for next Christmas, only did a baby quilt that was needed by March. Hope to have 4 quilts finished for next time.

Well as a result of all this talk about next years projects I remembered the Christmas panel I bought while on holiday earlier this month and have taken it out so I can make a wall hanging for next year. I have also been looking through my fabric stash so I can make shopping bags/totes for gifts so that is a start at least.

So when do you 'try' to start?
I started two days before Christmas. I am working on perfecting my table topper pattern. I'm terrible with geometry according to my DH. He's been trying to give me lessons.

Good luck to all of you. Now that Christmas is over I'm in a slump. I cannot even make my mind think about next year's gifts. I usually get these Christmas blues for a few days after, but they lift by the New Year. I am like the rest of you, I would like to start now so I am not so bogged down in December trying to get everything done. Happy New Year to all.
