It was a large sheet with slots 2 1/2 inches apart. You could cut accurate 2 1/2 in strips in just seconds with this ruler, template, cutting tool or whatever it's called. It looked like the measurements were 24x24.

I found something similar on the Quilt in Day website:
    http://www.quiltinaday.com/shoponlin...lay.asp?i=1884
but I know what Eleanor used was larger because she folded her fabric in half and was able to cut the entire length of fabric and it was also square.

While I was looking I also found this great resource:

I hope someone knows where to find this because it would certainly save a lot of time while ensuring accuracy. Thanks for any help you can give me.
I bought mine at JoAnn fabrics.

If you can't find the Shape Cut by June Tailor, let me know. It is made in Richfield, WI, about 5 mi north of my house. I can always get it around here.

    Thanks Johanna,

I found I could buy it online at Joann Fabrics. I hope I can use my 50% off coupon online. I don't usually shop there online but when I went to their website I found this size (20x23) was only available online.

Joann's has them; quilt shops have them; Hobby Lobby has them cheaper than quilt shops. Use a coupon and go to Joann's. If you cannot wait, go to Hobby Lobby, who, by the way, has 40% e-mail coupons every week.

Saw them at Joannes and Michaels.
Michaels was cheaper and I had a coupon.

Is your coupon for in store purchases only or can it be used online? The closest quilt shop I have is 1 1/2 hours away so I buy most of my items online. This sounds like something I'd like to add to my collection of tools.
I just went to Joann's website to check. This is what the policy is:

Check your coupon. If it says "Online Only" or "Instore and Online" you can use this coupon online.

I found mine at a yard sale several years ago. No instructions so didn't know about cutting diamonds until after watching the tape. I use mine for making strips, I put colored tape to help me found my correct measurement. It's a great tool.

I have one of these tools and no matter how careful I am, my strips still get a slight waffle or wave in the middle. Any suggestions?
