Does anyone know where I can buy fabric transfer paper to transfer quilting patterns to fabric. I used to tole paint and wondered if the saral paper would work on fabric or would it be too hard to remove?

I have used a product called transdoodle that works very well but rubs off easily. I would be hesitant to use the Saral stuff for fear it would not come off but you can easily test it on a scrap peice of fabric. If I remember correctly the white was kind of chalk like. I have had good luck with the Transdoodle. You can get it lots of different places, just google it. I bought the larger size pieces and like the saral you can reuse it many times before it doesn't transfer anymore.

I've used Saral numerous times. Also the "white/yellow" Saral for dark fabrics. Worked fine.

And I see it WON'T heat set. I was always worried about that.

This is very good to know. Thanks for posting! I have a feeling Transdoodle and Saral are the exact same product, just different names. It is nice to know we have the option!

And I also had to go look up "TOLE" painting. I had never heard the term used before.

    Live and learn.
