Try www.bookfinder4u.com. They do all the searching for you at 130 different sale sites for books and you can usually find them pretty reasonable. I use them a lot and I have over 650 quilt books.

I go to Better World Books, Alibris, and ebay and compare prices. Some of the older, out of print books are terribly expensive and there are some great books out there. My used bookstore sells hardback quilting books for $10. IMHO, I would love a good source for out of print books at reasonable prices.

I don't know of a particular site that just sells quilting books like you describe. I'm like those who have already posted. I've gotten books at discounts from LQS (some LQS offer discount cards after you have bought so much at their shop), Amazon (new and used), Joann's, clearance at any store that had clearance craft books, Book Fairs such as the Green Valley Bookfair off Interstate 81 in Virginia, library sales, discount and used book stores, etc...I like your idea though, let us know as I will definitely check it out:)

Found out something about myself and quilt books today. I was having a bad day, saw my Dr. And now he is talking surgery because he want me to lose 125 lbs. Made me feel really bad about myself so I went shopping. Couldn't find any fabric I liked at this craft store so I went to look at quilt books. I found that I wouldn't pay full price for a book unless it had at least 3 projects I really liked and I found out that the projects I liked were done in fabrics I liked. I was surprised cause I thought I was more creative than that, but here I was looking for projects because I liked the fabric not the pattern. No wonder I have only done appliques. Came home empty handed.

Anyone who likes quilt books should also check out" Edward Hamilton Bookseller" . They have a flat shipping rate less than $4. The books can be a buy. I look every month or so. Frequently there are $30 range books for less than $10. Also I thought it would be a good place to order several if you were teaching a class!

I borrow the book from the library or friend, and if I like it, I look for it on Ebay or on Amazon's sellers. If I can't find a good price for it, then I'll probably order it new from Amazon.

I have to admit that I like to buy used more than I like to buy new. Many times, my used books look like they are new.
