OK, I finally got my first quilt label done (haven't put a label on my many others).
When viewing the quilt from the front does it go on the back of the Left side or the back of the Right side??

It doesn't matter. It's a good habit to get into.
I have some of my grandmother's quilts and I have no idea when she made them. I also use my full name (with my maiden name) should someone ever want to keep going back in time. Although I doubt that there will ever be another with this name to worry about mixing us up!

I used to put my label in the lower right hand corner. Now I put it up sort of in the middle. I don't like the label in the corner when I sleeping under the quilt. If I am thinking ahead I sew it on before I quilt, so I can quilt it on that way it can never be removed.

I never thought about which corner of the back to place them, nor did I ever think about the quilt being turned around and having it in my face. I will have to take this into consideration from now on!!

I've never thought ahead to sew the label on, before I do the machine quilting. What a good idea! I don't make quilts I sleep under as I make wall quilts, but that's a good point too.

I put mine on the lower left side - its kinda like signing a letter to me. I also try to attach it before I quilt it - therefore it is more secure.
