Default White polished cotton

I am looking for info on polished cotton or some thing similar. I am going to make a Star Trooper quilt for my Grand son. I can picture it made with polished cotton or something similar. If any one out there has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank You
Maureen

Polished cotton, in my experience, does not stay polished. Once it is washed, all the "polishness" washes out too. You might want to try a tricot lame. Lame stays shiny, and the tricot backing prevents the machine needle from creating snags. Tricot lame is pricey and hard to find, though. I would go to JoAnn's and look for a synthetic fabric that would work.

Fairy frost has an awesome white called snow -- it is a Michael Miller fabric. It has a bit of a sheen and a tone on tone pattern -- it is the only fabric I ever bought in a 10 yard quantity more than once. Some folks say it does not retain the finish, but I have washed some table runners many times and they still look great. There is a white in this line that is glittered, this is not the one I mean.

I got an email alert from Missouri Quilt Co this morning. They have something called Bella Solids Porcelain on their daily deal. To me, it looks like it has a little sheen. BTW the deal is 2 yards for $6.

Michael Miller's Fairy Frost is also a good choice.

Northcott has a couple of lines. Sorry don't know the names but one is white with white swirls and the other is white with heavier white like a blender.

You could also quilt it using a silvery thread to emphasize the stormtrooper .
