HAHAHA! That's where I keep mine as well--or around the roller brush of my vacuum cleaner.

[QUOTE=bluteddi;6073709]I normally toss my thread clippings and short ends into the snippit bin...... eventually it will go into something stuffed with the other snippets and trimmings

That's what I do. The snippit bin is what I use to stuff pet beds that I donate to the SPCA. I use fabric that I don't like or my quilt practice sandwiches to make the beds. Smaller ones go to the kitties, larger ones go to the dogs.

How do you make thread bowls? Someone posted a picture of but not how to make them.

Friend & I save embroidery threads. Hope to eventually make fairy wings or fantasy fabric. I like the idea of thread bowls. At the moment it's in a large jar sitting on a shelf.

Ah, no. I never save thread, but I see some of us here make good use of it.

This is a new one. I think I save too much stuff now with small fabric scraps and small pieces of glass from my stainglass projects. No thread for me. I am trying to clean out the too small other stuff I have been saving.

I save thread pieces then put them on my back deck for the birds to build their nests with.
