I have many of the omnigrid rulers, and really have no trouble using them...but also have bought some of the Creative Grid rulers and like them too. The rulers I don't care for are the Quilter's Rule ones. I think everyone has their preferences.

At my beginning quilting class I was told to use the dots not the lines. I agree, the lines block what you need to see. I square-up and cut with the dots and the rulers work well.

i love mine but you must use what is best for you. my hubby made me change his bedroom clock. he couldn't see the digital numbers in green. had to get him red.
perhaps a ruler with only black lines would be best.

I love the Creative Grids rulers. I have one Omnigrid and I don't really like it much.

The Omnigrids are too "busy" for my tastes

Except for a 14 1/2" square, I've gotten ride of my Omnigrids because of the thick lines. I've gone to Creative Grids. The lines are much finer.
