Because they are a big pain in the butt!!! Mine is up inspecting my sewing machine, rides the fabric or rather anchors the fabric, pulls on the quilting pins and make me laugh and smile!!!

My kitty loves fabric. It can be in a quilt, freshly washed and ready for ironing, sitting on the mat awaiting a cut of the blade or still in the plastic bag from the store. She has finely gotten over trying to sit on the quilt while I am sewing. Yippee!!

Any found fabric is considered fair game for my puss. She of course "purrrfurs" darker colors to light so traces of her caring presence is more easily seen. Tee-Hee! Amazingly she does not sit of the pile of batting scraps. On the other hand folded piles of new batting is oh, so "purrrfect" for napping. Weird and wonderful are cats.
