My grandma Ruth Anderson was ADDICTED to mystery boxes, and this is in her memory. It was the tradition of an auctioneer in SW Iowa to always have a "mystery box" at each auction--and Grandma could not resist them.
I vividly remember one sale when they set her up...the mystery box was bricks wrapped in newspapers, and nestled in crumpled papers. Every one at the auction just roared when she excitedly opened it up....most everyone but her was in on the joke!
She passed away many years ago, but I thought this would be a FUN way to de-stash.....

This really touched my heart....how wonderful of you to carry on with a much loved memory of your grandmother. It certainly keeps your love of her close to your heart and pays tribute to her at the same time.
