I love looking on here to see what is being sold. Sometimes I find one that I have looked for forever. My sister is ill and will not be able to sew anymore and she has a room with 6 tall shelves full of fabric. I took some and two nieces took some and there is still 4 shelves full. I may sell some for her later on there.

I love looking at the For Sale section! The prices are much more affordable then current prices and sometimes the are even colour coordinated into groups! I don't care why they are selling, I'm just glad they do!

I'm glad you started this thread. I didn't realize there was a sale section!

Sew many reasons to sell and will benefit many. A win win on both sides of the fence!

I've sold some of mine because I now realize that there is no way I will use everything I have. Besides, being retired, I can use additional money and fabric stored in totes isn't doing me any good.

I am trying to use as much of my fabrics as I can. This is why I bought it. My fabric won't be sold or given away until I leave this earth. My Daughter quilts and has her own stash. My two Granddaughters have no interest in sewing of any kind. Daughter and oldest Granddaughter will have the task of disposing of it.
I make about 12 or more quilts a year and have given lots away. They will also have the task of disposing of them.

i think its a good idea, sometimes people lose their jobs, can't afford what they once could, sometimes they might make quilts with a certain fabric line, and not want to make anymore with it, and they have extra that someone else can use.

Amen ONEBYONE! I have fabric in plastic bins that I'll never use, in fact I rarely look at it, so I want it gone. There are people in my quilt groups that are happy to take it.

I have sold fabric before. I was in a fabric department for years and when something new came in I had to have it. Now I have it up to the ceiling.
