Yup, you were right. Now I feel a whole lot better that I didn't jump on it.

Wow, Teeler, thanks for that reminder of what's awaiting us on Saturday! It'll be back to reality soon enough...

I found out a guild member ordered it. I'll see it next week at a workshop. I'll post how it sews and what she thinks about it. She is a Janome girl. I know she has three Janomes.

Many times companies that sell enormous quantities of a product will contract with the manufacturer to make a specific model that is exclusively sold to that company. If you listen closely, the ad will say resembles or just like or another model of and that is how the manufacturers get large contracts for a specific company like WalMart or HSN. My neice is an executive with HSN. Usually, when you buy a new product you get what you pay for.

I don't know what bugs either! I just love my 7700-and I tell it all the time.

the machines that are sold on HSN also are available on their website so if you want to double check a machine it is still available there. I just found this out this week when I was watching HSN and was interested in one of their machines.

The new Horizon is blue an has even more stuff and a bigger throat-bed.. They are evidently selling off excess stock. Only a few folks can afford these high end machines.

Janome removed the "Horizon" name from the 7700 and it no longer has a red front -- this machine is supposed to be targeted for online sales.

Janome has muddied the waters as far as the "Horizon" name is concerned. They called the new 8200 and 8900 "Horizon" . The 8900 and 8200 have the same harp as the 7700, but the accufeed system is different and they are 9mm quilting machines.

As if that is not confusing enough, they also came out with an embroidery machine that bears the "Horizon" -- it is a larger machine than the quilting machines and it is expensive. Donna -- I think this is the one you mean.
