Hancocksofpaducah.com is a great place to buy good quality backing fabric. I have bought from them several times. They have good prices, large selection and fast shipping.

I've bought 108" wide fabric from fabric.com and was very pleased.
If you spend $35 or more, the shipping is free.
They have a nice selection.

I get all my quilt backs from crafttown fabrics. I think they have the best selection, so many to choose from. I just bought 6 yards from them last week.

I bought the black backing from Joann's and was not pleased at all. It felt almost rough after I washed it so the staple must be very short. It picked up every thread, lint and cat hair in a 30 miles radius. Ok, maybe not that bad but it was a gift and I wasn't pleased. They have a dog too but he doesn't shed much. Don't think I'd buy it again.

I get all of mine from Missouri Star Quilt, they have the 108" and the 120" and it is good quality.
