Oh, for those who already have this. Can I set my iron on that metal addition, even when it is hot? There is absolutely no instructions included.

Craftybear just sent me the Wal-Mart site that has a picture of it.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Whitney-De...-Board/7942561

It is the one that says $39.97 (or some number close to that). I read the information there, and now I know I can rest my iron on it, even when it is hot. Not sure I will be able to let myself do that though...

Hmmmm, that makes it look like it isn't available in the stores, but, I promise, I just bought mine at Wal-Mart today.

FYI- when watching some quilting show the other day (? F&P) they suggested turning your ironing board so the wide end is where you uI'm in.sually press fabric. I never thought of it. Now when I want to iron a shirt (not often) I just turn it around so the pointed end is where I need it.
Why didn't I ever think of that before?

I do like the looks of the one from WM. Will have to look next time I'm in.

I have one of these wide boards too. While it is really handy, in my case, it can be a pest at times (because of its size).
