2nd fabric would work a lot better. You won't want blank yellow spaces, or that is all you'll see.

Personally I would do a stack and whack and add a some yellow and blues. I use what I want regardless of what others say.

    Thanks for your input.

After reading all your wonderful commets would this one work better?

I don't think either is very good for a stack and wack for the very reason McQuilter pointed out, not enough contrast or color variation. The fabrics are lovely but just not for that type of quilt...imho.

Heavens yes it will. AND it will be beautiful. It is always great to have a little background space with the large flowers for contrast. The light butter yellow and soft blues will be Fab. I want to see pictures when you start your blocks.
    GO FOR IT.

I really like to have some contrast inbetween the large flowers it really opens up the design and actually gives you more contrast in the individual blocks, having made many stack and whack blocks I always look for fabrics that a a little space in the pattern. Just my opinon.

Quilting is an individual artistic craft. If you love the fabric, but a yard or two and make a block or two to see how you like it..............but if you see somthing in the fabric and you like it. GO FOR IT.
