Default Will these sell.

I am helping a friend sell her fabrics in a garage sale. She is moving from Michigan to Texas and can’t take it with her. We have measured and folded what we could that was 1/2 yard or more. We have bagged scraps in gallon zip bags. Big and tiny scraps together, sorted by colors, Christmas, ect.
Will they sell? How much? I want it to go, but don’t want to give her fabric away either, she can use the money. Here is a picture of what we did...

I was at a shop and we could fill a large freezer bag with scraps for $5.00, if that gives you an idea. Many people, including me, did it.

I like to buy these bags for my scrap quilts. It is amazing what I find in these bags. I've seen them priced from $2 to $5 a bag, from garage sales and flea markets to quilt shows and quilt shops.

My LQS does a big scrap sale once a year. It is $16 a pound. I think a pound is anywhere from 3-4 yards? Experienced scrap quilters might have a better guessitmate.

I'm thinking $5.00 a bag or $15.00 for 4 bags... guess which one most people will want.

You can always offer "better deals" later in the day, if the bags aren't moving.

I think $5 a bag is a fair price. If you are lucky enough to get some quilters at the garage sale then they will pay for the scraps at that price. Good luck

I'm glad you put the scraps in clear bags. I went to a sale last February and the scraps were in brown paper bags - I like to see at least part of what I'm getting.
