wonder-under problems
#32
I've used Wonder-Under for years and have never had the paper stick, ever. I tried Steam-a-Seam2 Lite, Heat'n'Bond, and something else before I found Wonder-Under. Funny how some people swear by one brand and others by another. Good thing there's a choice, eh? :D

Make sure you are using the right side to start with. Yes there is a difference. If there is paper in both sides, then remove the one that comes off the easiest. then fuse onto fabric. Also you may be holding the iron on too long. Check your instructions!

Sometimes when you iron wonder under too long (and too hot) it can become a horror to remove the paper... go back and read the instructions and try to follow them carefully. I ran into that problem several years ago... guess I got too cocky and thought I didn't need to read the instructions because I had been using it for quite some time. Apparently I was wrong! Now I try to read fusible instructions at least every other time I use it, just to be sure I don't have to re-live that nightmare again where paper becomes one with the fusible/fabric.

I had the same problem. Luckily, it was only with my test piece. I applied it, let it cool and it was still a pain to remove. Still, it worked and I couldn't thing of anything else I could use so I bit the bullet and applied it to all the pieces I had ready and waiting. Not wanting to face picking the paper off that evening, I left it until the next day. What a difference a day made, it peeled off all the pieces so easily it was like using a different product. My recommendation? Leave it at least overnight.
