I learned this trick from an experienced quilter - use a pin to tear the paper and pull off from the center of your piece. You won't stretch or distress the edges of your applique piece.

I iron it depending on fabric and pick it up as soom as it will not burn me and wave it in the air and cut out the piece and peal it right then or just leave the paper on till I am ready to iron for the applique... Haven't ever had a problem but when I first started and I ironed it to much so therefore it melted most of the bondinging into the fabric and it wa s haredr to remove the paper and didnt want to bond to the fab I was to put it onto... since then never a problem... but I do perfer Stea a seam lite... or misty fuse but you have to use a teflon sheet with that...
Hope you get it figured out...
ConneF Never had a student have a problem either...

I just got an email response about my complaintto the wonder-under customer service dept. and they admitted a problem with a batch of their product. They said they would send me a new supply of the product if I told them how much I had. I only had a yard, but thought I would see if they were true to their word... I will let you know if I get a replacement piece. Quilter 1234
