What a nice way to spend time with your daughter! Now if I could only get my two daughters interested in quilting/sewing. (they are 20 and 16). However, my son, at age 10, loves to make pillowcases and embroidery cars on them.

I love going to Mary Jo's in Gastonia, NC. My daughter will go with me but she doesn't sew or quilt so she doesn't understand the ooohs and aaahs. Glad you had a great day.

I was so overwhelmed by Mary Jo's the first time I visited that I walked in and walked out. Had to get prepared to look at so much fabric.

So glad you were able to enjoy the time with your daughter. I was so happy when my daughter became interested in quilting - it's such a special bond and such a wonderful way to spend time together. Hope you can keep enjoying it for a loooooong time!!

Lucky you! Wish I had a daughter. My boys are great but they aren't interested in quilting and their wives are too busy. I'm working on my grandchildren!

Never been to Mary Jo's but have known about it for years. I'm only about 2.5 hours from there. HMMMMM.....maybe a short road trip on Labor Day weekend????
