Around here, donated wool is rare. I’d be tempted to advertise it for sale and use the money for cotton and flannel for your project. My quilts are donated locally.

I agree---locally we donate to Family Promise-IHN when the families graduate from the program. But our ladies are so prolific, they wanted to do more, so we talked about it as a group, and they wanted to also make comforters for world relief.

My grandmother made wool comforters out of old clothing over 100 years ago in Ohio. Those comforters are still in use. Never any problem with bugs. They got a good airing several times a year and that was it.
