I made a quilt using corduroy, it was fine whale, I mixed it with flannel, fleece and homespuns. Backed it with the extra blocks and lightweight jean I had laying around. I used warm and natural batting and machine tied the middle. The border I used corduroy and FMQ stars all around. It's a house favorite.

I have an old quilt made from corduroy with a cotton backing and blankets for the batting. I have had to take it apart to redo as the seams were not big enough to last and the front was falling apart. Please do use wider seams (at least 1/2 inch or more). also consider machine quilting so that it holds together better, especially as this heavy type of quilt usually gets harder use than normal....

I remember eons ago making a maxi skirt for a girl in school out of corduroy. It looked great until I saw the side of it. I did not take into account the nap. The front ran down and the back ran up. Thanks for stirring up that memory.
