I would want to know unless I knew of the flaw and and pointed it out on the board myself.

I had to wait for someone to tell me where the mistake is on this one and then I went back and looked again. You know what it says to me?. It is at the very bottom and is the first block, it is the gate opening for me to view the entire quilt . It is gorgeous and some one would have to be really looking for a boo boo to find it. wish my mistakes were so hard to find. I have been quilting since I was a little girl and am 78 now you do the math. lol

It is staying there because I did heavy quilting. I still love it.
Can't even find the mistake. I personally believe all quilts have some mistake in them somewhere, even tho the person making them may have corrected most of it. That's what makes them unique. The amish put a flaw in all their quilts, so what's the big deal? Unless someone asks for opinions. I would not say anything negative.

Wow! This subject really hit a nerve, didn't it!? This exact thing happened several years ago in a sewing circle I attended. It was sharing time and some courageously displayed their lovely quilt. Across the room someone made the comment that there was a mistake in the quilt. The creator said, ' I knew you would find my mistake'! I personally thought it was in very poor taste for someone to point out a flaw in front of the entire group!
For me personally, I would like to know 'privately'.. and in a nice way... most definitely NOT in front of other people.
I love the comment that every quilt has a mistake in it and the Amish actually purposely make a mistake. I guess that means we are all human and very much not perfect.

I might PM to mention what I saw and ask if it was intentional.

I absolutely LOVE 'flawed' quilts. It is a individual unique quilt that way. I guess to me a 'flaw' means a actual individual sat at their sewing machine with love and made the item. That 'flaw', in my opinion, says I was not made on an assembly line. I know there are people out there who are perfectionist and that is awesome. But me, I am flawed and love it! :)

I'm with the "if it's not quilted yet, please tell me" group. However, if it's quilted, ta daaaaaa... design innovation!!
