Woven Micro Suede in a quilt?
#1
Several times over the past couple of years I have found micro suede on sale, and thought how great it would look for a masculine quilt. Has anyone tried this? Can it be done? Hancock Fabrics has it on sale again this weekend, and it's drawing me . . .

Might be kind of tricky but worth a try. Why not buy a small amount and give it a try. I think it would be possible. Would make a great masculine quilt possibly combined with corduroy or denim and some plaids.

it quilts up beautifully!
and is great for large block quilts-
i've used microsuede for appliques that turned out really wonderful.
and have one quilt which is alternating squares of microsuede, cotton velvet and corduroy which is just FABULOUS! my nephew made it - it is so rich, luxurious...squares 14" put together with decorative stitching- and some appliques- also made from the same fabrics.
as long as the fabrics you put together can be (cared for) together they can be used together- meaning-
wash everything together-
most of the microsuedes i've seen are polyester- and wash up just fine- with no shrinkage or fading.
