I'd say you did extremely well! Don't you just love it when you get to a garage/estate/yard sale and you see fabric and thread?

Well, we went back - 84 miles round trip! Got the power cord and pedal and a pile of mystery feet. She felt bad and said to pick out something. No, I didn't pick that serger. Got a French press coffee pot and matching cups for my son. I know she'll treat me well at her next sales.

In the meanwhile, where the heck am I going to put all that thread????

I've been using the Pearls and Piping foot to put piping on the edges of my purses. Works well. Mine was purchased 12 years ago and have a price tag on $25. You did well. Be sure to test the thread for strength.

Pat, the thread was tested by my husband and it is strong as witnessed by the cuts on his hands!

How wonderful! I'm so happy that you were able to get the missing parts for your "new" machine even if it meant another trip to the sale. And just look at all those lovely shades of teal in your new thread collection!
