Fons and Porter did this to me after I subscribed to one of their magazines. It went in the trash. They sent me a notice that I hadn't yet paid for it. I ignored it. I don't have time to send things back that I didn't order in the first place. It surprised me that this company would do this. Seems shady.

The only reason I sent mine back is because if you use their return envelope to do it, THEY have to pay the postage for the returned CD. I wanted it to "cost" them something for annoying me with unsolicited stuff.

I've gotten a few too. They kept bugging me for payment so I did send the postage paid envelope back, just didn't bother putting the cd in. I'm sure they still got stuck for postage! :O)

I have never gotten a cd in the mail... maybe it's because I don't subscribe to any magazines? I think you did the right thing.. just return to sender. I don't think they stop even if you call them...

Please make sure when you subscribe to any magazine or service- either online or through the mail - to check the little box at the very bottom of the page or order form "I do not want to Receive Special Offers from Affiliates" or "Don't Share My Name with Partners". A lot of times, especially online, the default is already checked for you to receive offers; you have to manually change it. Always read to the bottom of the page, and the fine print. It really does cut down on the junk mail you receive.

I don't know about them, but i ordered a quilting book, with a 30 day free trial. after i got it and opened it, and read the fine print, it obligated me to receive more books every 30 days. return if not wanted, but the cost of postage back, if i didn't want it every time. no thanks. i returned the original ordered book. come to find out, it was real basic, and just pictured, and showed what was available to use for quilting .

Thumbs down

I did not order, nor do I even know WHO these bad people even are. Wonder how long they will attempt to make me pay for sometime I refused in April 2013. Just wanted to update original post.

I kept getting offers for credit cards etc addressed to the apt. complex I used to manage. Kept sending them back as not this address etc and using their return so they pd for their own return. They finally stopped. Same for insurance sent to my DH after he passed. Returned it with cemetery address. They stopped too.
