Thank you. I am naming her Ethel after my Great Grandmother.
I am so excited for you. Your stars must have been aligned just right. {:>) If it has the book with it, be sure and clean it good and oil it. only use a damp cloth to clean it. Never use any kind of a solvent to clean the machine. It takes the pretty decorative patterns off or turns them silver. The oiling is important but easy if you just follow the guide. It will just purr for you. I use mine as a class machine and travel with it. Enjoy your new baby. What are you going to name her. Maybe the name of the original owner?

A really great price! I have a very lt. green Featherweight that looks almost white. I don't think there were very many made. It is the only one I have, but of course I would like to have another one some day.

Congratulations on your new FW, Ethel. I'm sure your grandmother is smiling down knowing you've honored her in such a special way. I am the proud owner of three FW's and wouldn't trade any of them for the world. Mine are all black and all from the 1940's, but I am still looking for a white one and a light green one.
