I love 4 patch blocks and guess my all time favorite is a string block because a. it uses a lot of scraps and b. I don't have to spend time cutting c. it's soooo easy.

I have to say that my favorite quilt block is "Contrary Wife", it's quick, easy and whatever fabrics you choose, it always comes out great.

I love churn dash and shoofly, but only with a straight set. On the diagonal, they remind me of a robot, somehow. (I know that makes no sense.)

Probably my favorites are Hunter Star and Jacob's ladder.

hugs,
Charlotte

Thanks so much for all of the ideas. I will be checking into these, and maybe doing a test drive on several of them.

I love the "54/40 or Fight" block. I use the Deb Tucker ruler to make the peak part of the block.

I am currently using quilterscache for Biblical blocks for a quilt for my middle daughter, they have so many designs, one could get lost in them. Great site!
