I love the one I did...however, I don't have a picture (my bad)....it was made with a different color combo on every block and using sashing. Turned out so beautiful! ALSO....I always used a solid base color in the middle of row 1, on the outside 2 in row 2 and middle of row 3. And I used a floral in the middle block. Was so much fun...however it didn't reduce my stash one iota!!! LOL

I did this one out of charms that I collected from The Cotton Club...no 2 alike. I love how it came out!

Belfrybat, this is the one I found that explains. Love Delta's ideas.

The first pic is where I isolated the blocks. The quilt is done in shades of dark blue, light blue, white, grey and the center is brown (gold??).

The second pic is the 9 patch itself. I have substituted some colors to make it easier to see. The blue is the dark blue, the green is the light blue, the red is the grey, the white is the white, and the brown is the brown.

The third pic is the actual 9 patch reassembled.

    Hope this helps.

All your quilts are so beautiful. I have never done one but am sure tempted after seeing all of yours.

Default I like using 3 colors

I made this quilt in honor of my Father and Grandfather who were both Army Vets (WWI & WWII). I put computer generated labels on the back with their pictures in their uniforms along with a picture of "All gave Some, Some Gave All" and of course a regular label with the usual information. I got a Blue Ribbon last year at the local fair. I have also made one with only 2 colors and did not like near as much. I also like doing the 9 Piece Shuffle. I like doing any type of 9 Patch. I plan to make the D9P Star in the future, but I need to get a few other projects out of the way first.
