Zoomies?

Just saw these on TV. Anyone tried these. The ad said they can be used for crafts. They are glasses that replace binacolures and can zoom in 300%.

Hmm, I always thought the zoomies are when one of furkids are being chased by imaginary creatures and they race around the house like idiots. I was always called that "zoomies".

I saw the ad, but that's not something I would ever purchase. My gut feel is that they are a cheapy gimmick and would likely fall off if I bent my head over my crafts work. (I will gladly stand corrected by someone who has actually used them!) I cannot assume that, for the price, the glass in these are optical-quality.
It would be a lot easier for me to use one of the magnifiers sold specifically for craft work.
Edit: I checked on Amazon, and most of the items similar to Zoomies get relatively poor reviews. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...ywords=zoomies The watch repair/jeweler's type seem to be a little better.
