2" block swap
Last year I participated in a swap for 50 assorted 2" blocks. I thought it was around Christmas when the swap closed. I've been eagerly watching the boards but, so far I haven't seen anything.
Have I missed the swap or is it during a different part of the year or not this year?. Thanks all, and Happy Quilting!

I haven't seen a 2" swap in 2017 on Quilting Board. I'll be glad to do a one-on-one swap with you in January, have a crush of 4 swaps right now, but I'll be able to swap next month & happy to do it for you. How many can you swap, I can do about 100. If you send really good squares I'll do the same, then I'll be able to recommend you for other swaps. If your squares aren't what is expected in QB swaps I'll give you pointers & not hold it against you, promise!
Let me know what you'd like to do. Please give me time to respond after the holidays, house is full of company. Off to the kitchen now to make a cocoa cake with butter cream frosting!
Merry Christmas & a Healthy, Happy, & Prosperous New Year!
hugs,
dj

I finished a California King 2" (1.5" finished) with no repeated charms for a Postage Stamp Quilt (PSQ) which I collected & used Thousands of charms from Quilting Board (QB) as well as two other sites online. It has been quite a while since a true 2" swap happened on QB. Charms are easily chained together into rows, lining up the rows is fun, & the joined points are very forgiving.
Wish I had time to host a QB swap but very busy with UFOs for 2018.
Chytazie could always cut 2.5" squares down to fit their needs.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for all the replies. The swap was for 1, 2 or 5" squares, packed 50 and no duplicates. They offered some squares for the newbies to help get their stash up. I was a newby, but swapped 5 packs, one being international. I joined QB in October '16, so it had to have been since then.
What do yall thing about an official 2" swap? Anybody interested?
Hope everyone's getting back to "normal" after the holidays. We had a busy 2 weeks with my 3 granddaughters and quilting was put on a back burner. I'm ready to dig in and get started again.

I remember that swap! I remember it was said something about newbies maybe not having so many different prints in their newbie stash! It's so nice that you continued here at the Board. :-)
50 fabrics is a lot to sort and wash and iron and cut and baggie. :-) It's probably why I didn't join the swap...
