It is a cool 68 here in the Pacific Northwest, but the heat is coming next week and weather people promise a scorcher =90 and above.
I am going to do the row by row this year, also. One store, Fabric Depot, is having a party, give away, and demos of all the parts of their Row. Come to Oregon, its great here.

I've been busy sewing here in Texas! Trying to stay inside as outside is HOT and muggy. AND at the beck and call of my daughter who has started her own business. https://www.facebook.com/groups/LuLaRoeWithLillyVIP/ I'm super excited for her. It will keep US busy.

trish b, I'd take 90+ any day!! Today's scorcher is 118, although the national news likes to pump that up to 120. Not quite (we hope). It is going to be 117 tomorrow and then a "cooling trend" to 113 by Tuesday and 112 the rest of the week.
I do not own a dryer (because I have the best "free" dryer called a clothesline). I had the laundry on the line by 6:30 this morning, and it will be off by 7:30, then I'll put on the mister for the outdoors kitties the rest of the day into the evening so they at least can stay semi-cool. It's pretty brutal out here during June. By July, the temps are a "bit" cooler because the humidity cranks up and we're in what we in Arizona refer to as "Monsoon" season, when we get dust storms and strong thunder storms. We natives look forward to monsoon because it breaks the monotony of the dry heat and gives us weather and possibly rain. It's a major event here in the valley!!
So, I'm envious of those people experiencing the 90's. We call that spring and fall here!

This is a 2" PSQ (Postage Stamp Quilt) I've been working on for a few years, trying to not duplicate any charms except for the yellow & black band with the states charms. It takes a while to make a non-repeat PSQ & not for the faint of heart, but oh so rewarding. Hubby is with the DoD USAF & just returned from jobs in Alaska & Hawaii & brought home wonderful fabric and all kinds of wonderful goodies, guess he feels bad I had to work & couldn't go along.

Really must go get suits ready for the week at work. Until next weekend.
hugs,
DJ

Wow, DJ! Amazing! So many tiny fabrics. Love the states you put around the border. That took some engineering.

Oh, yes....50 states doesn't divide by a four sided quilt so some "engineering" was achieved by the fabric manufacturer, Rhode Island, Delaware, Connecticut & Maryland were grouped into two charms, so the quilt has 48 state charms but all are represented. I laugh at the chicken wire fabric in the corners, reminding me of collecting eggs on our farm in Texas.
Really hugs,
dj

The chicken wire is adorable. Would love it in a chicken quilt too.

Now I know what PSQ means! I can't imagine the kind of work that DJ's quilt entails. That is amazing.
