Hello everyone....so I woke up at 4:30 am and could not get you ladies off my mind. so much catching up to do.
First the camping stories..........Love everyone camping story. Onaemtnest....love your mantra...."Camping Is Housework Made Inconvenient"
completely understand that! So I gave up on the clean camping and now make everyone straighten their own "spot" also I only do the dishes once a day and everyone has their job. So now camping is back to fun. or that is just the least of my problems.
Our camping this time had many problems before we left home! First my husband "mr procrastinator" is not very good (he's really bad) at backing up the camper. I have been asking him for months to go and practice. So the night before we are heading out is when he decides that he better give it a try. Let's just say we are still married! After "practicing for an hour in the church parking lot (I was hoping God would help) he managed to dent is truck in two places and the front of the camper. . Nope never got it figured out! Keep in mind he already was on the chopping block for the missing piece for the sway bar. (put your toys away safely)
We get to our campground and he just sits there ( I have left with the kids and dog to safer grounds) for some other camper to take pity on him and back up the camper. Yep that worked some one comes to his rescue.
I have decided to find a campground that we can leave our camper set up. You buy a "resident" spot and just come and go leaving the camper all set up. This will save my marriage! I went to this campground with this in mind. It is only 50 minutes from our house so I thought it would be very convenient... but it was rather run down and the lake was gross! The lake is called "Goose Lake" I think I know why
The campground had fireworks and they were wonderful. Also we found out that the campground back in 1970 was the location for a concert much like Woodstock. The speaker towers and stage were still there...so that was pretty cool. So we swam in the pool (olympic size pool not sure what Olympics maybe the mini olympics) and did a lot of bike riding. Also made a really cool craft with the kids. I always bring a craft to make.
We are suppose to go camping at the end of July...not sure my marriage can handle it.
