Online in office depot, the envelopes are listed for $5.99 for a package of 25, but shipping charges apply since they aren't available for store delivery. I'm going to do a bit of Xmas shopping by Saturday so will check out my local Office Depot store since I do not want to pay shipping!
I also purchase my birthday cards from Amazon, in boxes of 30 cards that are blank inside. Then I have my candies all packaged and the envelopes stuffed with the candies and a card, just waiting to get the PM with names and addresses for the month, then customize each card and mail them. I also buy the year's supply of the 2 oz stamps from the post office so I do not have to make multiple trips to the PO over the course of the year.
    I hope this info helps!

Happy belated birthday Mizmelly! I have not been saying Happy Birthday to every one this year and I need to take this moment to apologize.
I'm sorry for that and I will make it up in 2017.
    Happy New Year everybody!

Hey... guess what I discovered? While we were in Memphis we went to the brand new IKEA store there and I bought some storage units and the drawers and boxes that can go in them. One of the boxes is PERFECT for 'candy' storage. It has 12 divided compartments that are 3" square, so you can put your stacks of candies in them easily. They are huge and deep and hold a ton. And... get this... the price: $3.99!

I am in the process of switching my candies over to these storage boxes now, which is a little slow going because I had them stacked by color and they've gotten a bit mixed up over the years. The boxes are called "Tjena", and their catalog number is 602.636.06, in case you want to order some from IKEA.

    My old 'system':

    My new Tjena box system:

Box with lid on. These stack nicely.

This is two Kallax units, stacked. They are on sale 50% off right now! I paid $19.99 each for them, and then bought 4 of the fabric bins for the bottom 4 spaces, and three of the those flat Tjena boxes with dividers, and the two birch magazine files to house some loose patterns and paper piecing sheets I had. Some of the pretty storage boxes I already had fit nicely in it too. I could have used about 4 of these set-ups, but I have limited wall space in my dining room, where I sew.

MizMelly, your picture of all the cards and candies brought me a smile. How fun to look at that color and all those good wishes and bits o' fabric! Glad you whooped it up on your b'day.

DJMat--happy belated b'day. You certainly were patient all year !

Sewbizgirl--Do those Tjena boxes fit snugly? I'd hate to think that the lid would accidentally slip off while moving the box and mess up all your neat stacks. (Or, more precisely, MINE if I were to convert from the Art Bin which tends to shuffle the stacks a little bit when I move it. I'm accident prone).
