Sorry to hear that you got the winter flu too, Red! Look after yourself and take it easy!

Thanks for all the nice comments, ladies! Every year we plant a garden so sweet corn and tomatoes really say summer to my family.

I just noticed, out of four block sets, three of mine have yellow and red...oops! I'll try to think of another summer color for my fifth set. I was thinking of a patriotic themed block, but we will see.

Judith, why can't be do six sets, lol!! I have too many ideas!

Hi, Red!!! So glad med's worked. Sending healthy vibes your way. I went to the Road to Calif. today and used a bottle of hand sanitizer all day....Avoided crowded aisles when a I could and breathed shallow. I've been so paranoid in catching a bug at the show. You could hear people coughing all over the place. Ugh! They should have stayed home but I understand the appeal to come to the quilt show...but still... Anywhoo, stay well! I'm gonna buy some of that stuff...thanks!

I'm green with envy, Teen! I've heard a lot of fun stuff about the Road To California quilt show. Hopefully you had fun and made some lovely memories! Take plenty of vitamin C and your body should be able to fight off any germs you may have been exposed to at the show.

I just finished sending a message, but I'm joining in! I've pulled out a few ideas for blocks, so I'll make up some samples and get some of your opinions. It's going to be hard to follow up with all of the great blocks that have already been posted, but I will do my best! I even made a list of the block themes so I can try to get something different. Are you all doing 12" blocks? I was thinking some 6" or 9" to change it up...

So glad you are joining us, Sue! I'm making three 12" and two 6", but I think some more 9" and 6" would be great. It was just the sizes my patterns turned out.

Hi suzisew! So glad you joined us. I made mostly twelves and a couple nines. I am thinking about maybe making a replacement for the last set. I am not real happy with it, and I would hate it if someone got one they hated from me. Besides, that gives me a chance to work on something fun. I have been ironing and repairing my spring/summer clothing. Kind of a boring job, LOL!

You girls are so sweet to care about me. Thanks. I wish I could have gone with you to the road to cal quilt show. How fun.

Welcome to the swap Suzi.

I haven't decided completely on the block sizes. My first 3 sets are 12.5. But, smaller blocks are definitely needed. I think I may do a couple of 6.5 blocks. But, will wait and see until I get there.

I hope everyone who is feeling under the weather is starting to feel better. If not, pamper yourselves and get lots of fluids and rest. I would hate to see someone get seriously ill. It's really getting to be a cold winter. Makes me glad I'm here in Florida. We are getting some cold days. But, it is Florida cold weather. Not Northern cold weather. Take care ladies.
