NZ, That looks like a fun place to relax and get away from everything. Glad you all had a good time.

Here's another one I saw on Facebook. No pattern... just the picture. Those are 2.5 squares, tho. And 4.5" HSTs.

Oh, yes, yes, yes! (Remember the gal in the shower using Herbal Essence Shampoo?) I love that quilt, sewbizgirl. I am sure it must be out their in web land as a free pattern. It is quaint and has a strong statement by using all of those multi-colored little squares.

If any one finds this pattern we could do a sew along for any one interested. Must be a free pattern or a public domain pattern. Perhaps Quilter's Cache. I am hunting. It is more fun than designing an online class for later this summer. Oops, did I say that?

I think I found it. I heard a little voice say "Jacob's Ladder" and this is what I found on Quilter's Cache.

https://www.quilterscache.com/J/JacobsLadderBlock.html It looks so different in multi-colored blocks. Goodness that would eat up birthday candy quickly. It uses 20 - 2.5's per block. OK after my quilt retreat next week end, I may give this one a shot. I liked jenny's quilt today but I like this one better! I could grow old under this quilt It would also be a good leader/ender for those of you that like that process.

I will make a scrappy Jacob’s Ladder too! I’ll start with making the 16 patches and 4 patches without any white. And then I’ll make the 4.5” HSTs with white and a color. That’s really all there is to it. Size and quantity can be figured out as you go.

Love that quilt. It’s a classic!

Several years ago, I started making color blocks 6 squares x 6 squares from my candies for a king size quilt. My plan was to continue with these, but I love the Jacob's Ladder. Might have to work on both.

Oh, kele, those blocks look wonderful! Was your plan to use sashing between the blocks or blend the color blocks together? I can't wait to see what you do.

WMUTeach, I really like the idea of Jacob's Ladder sew along.

I mailed out June birthday girls candies this morning.
