Traveling Gramma, I love the quilt! Beautiful way to use some candies!

Jenn, your sailboat quilt is a stunner!

Ibex, you certainly hit the jackpot! Fun, fun! Looks like Christmas came early!

Speaking of Christmas coming early, we just found out today, at our 19 week ultrasound, that we are having TWINS!!!!! I am in complete shock! A girl and a BOY!!! Our first boy! Hubby is so proud, lol! Fraternal twins do not run in my side of the family for at least three, maybe four, generations back (early 1900s being as far back as I am aware) so I am baffled at how that happened. I have no idea how I'm going to manage, but I'm going to be in for a wild run soon! Six kids ages six and under!

I am so happy for you, NZQ!! Start lining up some help... you will need it. Can't wait to see those twins. You are so blessed with beautiful children.

NZquilter -- TWINS!! -- how very exciting. Congratulations!

You are going to have to rest at some point so try to rest as much as you can now.

How is the baby doing? May I send diapers via Amazon? What do you prefer, disposable or washable? Giant joyous hugs. -- Ibex94

NZ Quilter...Twins! What an astounding surprise!!! I'm sure it will be hard work at first, but I'm sure you will rise to the occasion. Hopefully, your older children will be a big help. Congratulations on the boy!

Oh, my goodness, what a blessing! A double blessing. Your mind must be spinning with joy and "oh, how will we manage". You have been chosen and I am sure you will rise to the occasion and care for these six dear little ones. I have girl/boy grandtwins. and cherish them, not more than others, but in a most special way.

Congratulations on a marvelous Christmas gift.

Bloomin' Peaks is great! Should use up a bunch of candy squares. Thanks for sharing another good idea.

JENNR8R, I think I posted a photo of a similar quilt that our Barbara Keibler used as a sew along a couple of years ago, but the Bloomin' Peaks is much more simple to create. Thanks for the photo. Everyone, if you click the link under JENNR8R's message is the link to the directions. Don't pass it by.

Happy Birthday to our August Birthday Girl, Travelinggramma. I hope your day has been full of cake and balloons or what ever pleases you the most.
