2024 Birthday Candy Swap (2.5" Squares)
#651
Hello All!
I'm sorry I've been absent most of this year. Happy Birthday to all who have celebrated so far!
Speaking of birthdays, I was out-of-town for a little over a week. Imagine my surprise when I got home and was greeted by birthday mail myself! It isn't even June yet!
My list:
Heathermom
IBEX94
Janice McC
JENNR8R
Pamelor
Quossum
I will keep updating this list periodically. I don't know if I have the willpower but I will open these on my birthday.

Thanks for the list CF. Your a pro at this.
Ibex, you were hoping your post office would be efficient and woozers not only on time but early! Yeah!
Have a sweet and happy holiday weekend everyone.
Curious questions here. Are any of you a veteran?

Finally got back to computer - I have been checking on phone but can not download a photo.
I gifted this quilt to a friend who just earned her masters degree. That is about as far as I have ventured with candy. Working on two RWB quilts for the veterans center and will cut up the rest of that fabric for next years swap! (like I will recall exactly where I put them!!)
Went to the local Lilac Festival yesterday. Being north, the lilacs have been in full bloom all week. Fortunately the days have been beautiful and I love sitting outside with the beautiful scent.
No vets here - all have passed on in our family. Remembering all that they did.

What a precious gift, TG. Oh, of course you found a way to use 2.5's but the centers with the words of encouragement are just that, encouraging. Thanks for sharing your finish with us. Yeah!
Thank you everyone for posting when you are dropping your birthday packages in the mail. It is reassuring that birthday surprises are on their way. I dropped mine in the mail on Wednesday and found one back in my mailbox on Thursday. Duh! I forgot to add the stamps. Stamped and returned to the mailbox on Friday morning.
It was a cold, rainy and windy day this Memorial Day in southwest Michigan. The kind of day you want a cup of tea and a snugly quilt. I went to a pancake breakfast to help support my grandson's scout troop. Then I was off to spend the afternoon with some gal pals and have and indoor picnic and lots of chatter. Now, quilting on a UFO. Plan to finish this week. I hope you found ways to celebrate no matter what the weather brought to you,
I keep hearing about storms that are pounding our nation. Oh, so sad. Texas swappers are you OK? I heard your state was hit hard, again.
