Oh Betty where do I start? Your mom's party preparations are so beautiful - and your crafty ways are stunning.
They are cunning little objects of art. I do not know when/if you sleep!

This month's partner is my fear friend, Lynnie. We "chat" every day and I am so grateful to have found her on QB.
Lynnie' s post card will come with some stuff I've been meaning to send her, and of course, chocolate! Soon!!

I think the Gremlin was at work on my keyboard, my message was supposed to read like this:

I meet with two friends one day of each month and we do projects, either sewing, Victorian craft or dolls. Yesterday we met and we made a Christmas scene using recycled gift card tins. I will add a picture of the three scenes that all three of us made and also the front & back of mine. I believe Altoid tins are used for this purpose in the USA. Those tins are not available here. I am very happy with the result and have placed it in my doll display case, I now these things are really dust collectors but a lot of fun to make. I had not ever done anything like this before and we had a thoroughly enjoyable day. This project is made using scrapbooking paper to cover the tin top and bottom, inside and out and we added tinsel, lace, pearls, card cut out, Christmas trees, string holly and small flowers.

Carol, I do sleep, some times I have short nights but try to get 7 - 8 hours sleep otherwise it is hard to function the next day. When my husband is away I usually have late nights sewing. At times there are just not enough hours in a day and I guess if you want to do things you give it the time. I live in the country and I don't go out a lot and it can get awfully lonely if you aren't busy. We are still self employed.....50 years this month! and I still do the office work for our business, we have our office close by. We are only a small business with 5 employees. We are engaged on contract work which is more often than not quite a distance from home. My husband is considering retirement and I am hoping it is later this year. We both enjoy excellent health and still like what we do. I enjoy the small projects, guess I am a fiddler from way back.

Here is a picture of the last project I am doing for my Mum's birthday. Machine embroidered 3D roses assembled onto stems.

I just have to finish a Mug rug for her that I will add to the package that I will leave her for Mothers Day in May. I will post a pic when it is finished.
