Joan your quilt is going to be stunning. I have never heard of the glueing process but it sounds what less invasive then surgery. Hoping it works.

kassandra your pictures are outstanding

Sewbiz way to go on finishing a couple more of the charity quilts.

only sewing here was fixing a friend's couch cushions

Gorgeous pictures, Kass. Are those junebugs or Japanese beetles? Love the one with the bee. We all need to plant things for the bees. They are becoming endangered. Without them, no food for us. Ladies, leave a few dandelions, that's their first food in the spring. Off my stump now.

Pictures from yesterday's storm, first one was taken two minutes from campground. Second was a good hour away. They had so much hail city had to get out their snow plows. Never seen anything like it. Home was without power for 7 hours

Wow amazing storm Terri. The weather has been crazy in Utah. We've had 30-40 mph winds on a constant basis. Sand & dust everywhere.

Oh, Terri, that yellow-green sky usually spells heap much trouble with the weather here, usually a tornado. I've seen hail many times, but never like that! I just hope your and your neighbor's damage wasn't to bad. I would've been scared to death.

Joan I like the black sashing too. Jaba it was fun to see my very first boom square in a quilt. It was a simple square but I was happy to see it fit right in.

We we are in Hawaii hiking in Volcano national park and snorkeling the local beaches. DH is trying to convince me to venture out in the rain and see/walk Akaka falls. The house exchange is good with a great house and car. Lots of frog noises at night and roosters in the morning. We keep a fan running at night for the white noise as well as cooling. Good car. 5.3 (little) earthquake this morning. Not as bad as that Terriam MN weather.

I am working on a 24x6 inch square for the day of the dead quilt.

Janice glad you're ok. Hope all news continues to be good. Good idea getting that checked out immediately.
DH cut himself (thumb) with a power tool before we left. He cleaned it, then used super glue to hold the cut together. Wrapped it. Played guitar/banjo in a music festival the next day. Today He told me that it's almost completely healed up. That glue works well. I found this out when he posted it on Facebook last week.

Wow, that hail!! Hail is so dangerous. My son was almost killed in a hail storm a few years ago. He was injured and his car was totalled... all by great big hail the size of baseballs. It's scary stuff.

MJP, Facebook has it's uses, huh?

I'm looking forward to the next boom. I want everyone's opinion. I have about 4 yards of this fabric and would like to use it. Do you think it is too busy or too much of a challenge? The stripes are straight (not wavy) and the colors are brighter than in the picture. I'll wait for responses before I start cutting. Thanks!!!
