Wow what beautiful blocks you all have made!!!!!
So I'm a little jealous that I know I will never get a chance to to be in the swamps again but I can still come in & look at all the pretty blocks from time to time. That will keep me smiling for a LONG TIME!
I went to the Nero surgeon Monday because I wanted to hear straight from the horses mouth, what the heck is going on and to be shown the pictures to prove it. Well, it's not a pretty site but you know the ugly duckling grew up to be a beautiful bird.
The x-rays shows that there is so much degeneration of the bones that the femur from just above the knee, up to the tip top of the femur is nothing more then tumor that has replaced the bone.
The surgeon said this was the worse case of degeneration he has ever seen in all his practice. He's a lot older then I am so that's a long time. He can not actually see a fracture or a break, but in his opinion, there is one in there somewhere and he'd be scared to attempt to do anything at all other then leave it be and don't move anything. He said even if he did want to try and stabilize it, there is nothing to stabilize it to. There's no more bone left on the femur or the hip. How I'm able to even move without extreme pain is beyond him. He said that me just moving to just roll on my side scares him to death, that each move I make will be my last. They would not even take me off the gurney other then to do another x-ray to be sure he has the right patient. And they lifted me up from one to sit me down on the other just to be sure I didn't move myself.
So with my new found information & a good look at what I don't have compared to what I should have, I have a new mission. My new mission is to heal the bones and the cancer will go away or should I say that God will handle the rest.
I got a good team of people working with me to help me handle the pain and make things easier to do, it's my job to figure out how to heal the bones. I have a lot more research to do on ways to get it done, but when I'm finally done I can say I'm a glorified doctor. One that God has helped make. Without HIS help there is no way I could do this.
He gave me the brains, now it my job to put them to good use. I think he'll guide me in the right direction.
I'll still look in from time to time but the reality is, until I can fix this, I won't be able to join in.
So until then:
Stitch with a smile, Frustrations are only new lessons.
Share a few blocks, They are simply little treasures.
Feel the warmth, Each quilt was made with lots of love.
Most importantly have fun with friends.
Then repeat.
Many {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to All my friends for being so supportive and cheering me on. See you when I can and I still own you some pictures so as soon as I'm able, I'll get some sent to Janice if the boom is over.

Oh Seasaw, I'm sorry the situration with your leg/hip is that bad. I'll be praying for a miracle in your body. Your faith and positive attitude will carry you far. I'm glad you are still checking in with us here, and hope that will continue! Later on we'll have some pretty quilts to show.
God bless you and ((((((super big hug))))))).

Here's the latest. Blocks must be in my hands twelve days from today! I've received packages from those whose names are highlighted. Jclinganrey is waiting for additional material to finish her last block so she's in good shape. I've been in touch with Billi so I know she'll be done in time. Last I heard, Ibex94 was working away on hers. Mollymunchkin and All2Pieces, are you done yet? I believe Kassaundra and Muse&Sew are finished so I expect they'll be mailing soon. I think that brings everyone up to date with the group.
